In the warmer climates of zones 5 to 10, it’s more like an annual. Native to Asian mountain areas and north into Arctic regions, this is a very cold-hardy perennial. Preferring full sun and rich, evenly moist soil, it struggles in hot and humid conditions. Iceland Poppies attract a variety of pollinators, and they are deer- and rabbit-resistant.
